BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Columbus, Ohio. I grew up in several areas in Dayton. At a young age I always loved art. My life long ambition is to win an Oscar in Animation in either the full length or animated short category. I became a member of Muse Machine, Art Club, Drama Club, and the International Thespian Society. I also attended drawing classes sponsored by the Dayton Arts Institute. I graduated from Centerville High School in Centerville.

After high school I Attended the School of Visual Arts receiving a BFA in Animation. At SVA I learned various Animation and Editing machines, such as the Oxberry Camera, Animation Stand, Movieola, and the Steam-Beck Editing Machine. After graduating from SVA I worked various freelance jobs. I later returned to Dayton and became a substitute teacher for various districts in Dayton.

After working for 3 years as a teacher I decided to take a research assistant position in Hsinchu, Taiwan. I worked for the Industrial Technology Research Institute's Opto-Electronics & Systems Laboratories (ITRI/OES). I trained on the newest 3-D imaging technology, such their motion capture Camera (Tri-D) and Alias Wavefront Maya. The finished work was presented at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan.

I also worked on designing logos for the Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems. The first logo I designed was in 2001. That year the Symposium was sponsored by Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. In 2005 I designed a second logo. That Symposium was held at Cincinnati, Ohio and was sponsored by the University of Cincinnati..

I am currently working as a Freelance Designer and English Teacher in Tokyo, Japan. I hope to work for one of the Animation Studios in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area.
In the future I hope to either work in an animation studio or teach art to the next generation of Animators. You must learn in order to be a great teacher.
